Description
Our neighborhood is jam-packed with the tallest and strangest saguaros in the world. When these stately monoliths grow along the creekbed of Cave Creek they are subject to cold overnight temperatures and combined with the freezing water, it twists the arms of the saguaros as they literally twist in agony from the cold. This leads to big saguaros like this one near my house that I have nicknamed “Crazy Arms.”
