Billy Holds Court On His Jailhouse Ride

Pat Garrett and his motley crew rounded up Billy the Kid and his gang at Stinking Springs in a raging snowstorm. They took off for Las Vegas, New Mexico, after a Christmas dinner at Padre Polaco’s in Puerto de Luna. The Kid supposedly stood in the back of the wagon and entertained the heavily armed entourage with stories and jokes. He definitely would have scored a Netflix special today for his efforts. All his captors agreed, he was a very funny fellow.
